Team Prabowo-Gibran: Experts Determine Adequacy of Nutritious Free Meals

Hasan Nasbi, a member of the Prabowo-Gibran Synchronization Task Force’s Communication Division, clarified that the rumor about reducing the budget for nutritious free meals for school students to IDR 7,500 per child is not an official statement from the team. The rumor was spread by economist Heriyanto Irawan from Verdhana Sekuritas, but Hasan confirmed that it was only a statement or idea from the economist and not from the team. The main focus of President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka is to provide meals that meet nutritional standards determined by nutrition experts. Hasan mentioned that they are reviewing various ideas and suggestions for the cost per child, but no specific figure has been set yet. He explained that different regions in Indonesia have diverse nutritional sources, which will affect the local menus and prices of the meals provided. Gibran also urged everyone not to report on uncertain matters and confirmed that the ongoing trials for nutritious free meals use a budget of IDR 15,000 per person.
