Prabowo Subianto personally escorted to car by Erdogan after meeting in Turkey

Ankara – The bond between Indonesia’s Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was evident following their private meeting in Ankara, Turkey, on Tuesday, July 30.

As Prabowo was preparing to depart from the Palace and say goodbye to Erdoğan, the Turkish President personally escorted him to the waiting car outside, motioning ahead with his hand.

“This is a privilege for me,” Prabowo remarked before getting into the car and exchanging handshakes with Erdoğan.

During the meeting with Erdoğan, Prabowo reiterated Indonesia’s dedication to bolstering its strategic relationship and partnership with Turkey, especially through collaboration in the defense and defense industry sectors.

“We are committed to enhancing the longstanding friendship between our two nations,” Prabowo stated.

Furthermore, Prabowo emphasized the significance of Turkey as a key partner for Indonesia. Therefore, both countries must continue to nurture trust and continually work towards improving the capabilities of their armed forces.

During his visit to Turkey, Prabowo also held meetings with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, and various leaders from Turkey’s defense industry.
