President Prabowo Subianto recently met with Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Sakti Wahyu Trenggono and Deputy Minister of KKP Didit Herdiawan at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta to discuss the issue of unauthorized sea fence construction in Tangerang, Banten Province. Sakti mentioned that the construction did not have the required permits, violating regulations outlined in the Job Creation Law. Consequently, the construction has been sealed pending further investigation to determine its ownership and legality. The President has directed a comprehensive legal review of the situation, with collaboration from various parties such as the Indonesian Navy and the Marine Security Agency (Bakamla). The primary focus is on ensuring adherence to legal procedures and preventing potential negative impacts such as erosion. This proactive approach highlights the government’s dedication to upholding regulations and safeguarding marine resources.
