Fahri highlighted the importance of President Prabowo’s use of constitutional prerogative in addressing societal harmony amidst attempts by certain groups to sow disunity. The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) has approved the amnesty for 1,116 convicted individuals, including Hasto Kristiyanto, as detailed in Presidential Letter No. 42/Pres/072725, dated July 30, 2025.
Amnesty and abolition, as granted by the President, are tools under the Indonesian Constitution to remove legal consequences from criminal convictions.
