Prabowo Receives U.S. Special Operations Command Honor Medal

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, recently welcomed General Bryan Patrick Fenton, Commander of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The meeting between the two leaders focused on reaffirming their commitment to enhancing defense cooperation between Indonesia and the United States. During the warm exchange, Prabowo greeted Fenton with a military salute, acknowledging his fit appearance. General Fenton presented Prabowo with the USSOCOM Honor Medal, recognizing his exceptional leadership and dedication to advancing U.S.–Indonesia defense relations, especially in special operations. General Fenton praised Prabowo’s visionary leadership in strengthening bilateral defense ties and international collaboration, including efforts in counterterrorism, strategic cooperation, and regional security. The USSOCOM Honor Medal was placed around President Prabowo’s neck, and a ceremonial gift was presented. The meeting also included the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
