Indonesia Aid Gaza: Independence Day 80th

Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force successfully conducted a humanitarian aid mission to Gaza Strip, Palestine on August 17, 2025, coinciding with Indonesia’s 80th independence anniversary. The mission was a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Defense, TNI, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Baznas. Two Indonesian Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft departed from King Abdullah II Air Base in Amman, Jordan, at 10:37 a.m. local time before conducting an airdrop of aid supplies over Gaza and safely returning to the forward operating base. Colonel Pilot Puguh Yulianto, the Commander of the Task Force, stated that the mission went smoothly without significant obstacles. The aid packages consisted of essential supplies like staple foods, medical equipment, blankets, and items for children. President Prabowo Subianto’s direct orders were instrumental in carrying out this mission, showcasing Indonesia’s dedication to international humanitarian solidarity. The success of this mission on Indonesia’s independence anniversary was a moment of national pride, highlighting the country’s active role on the global stage and its contributions to global peace. Yulianto described the achievement as a historic milestone and a special gift for Indonesia’s Independence Day.
