Indonesia Sends Aid to Gaza on Independence Day

Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force has carried out a successful humanitarian aid mission to Gaza Strip, Palestine on August 17, 2025. This joint effort involved the Ministry of Defense, Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Alms Agency (Baznas). Departing from King Abdullah II Air Base in Amman, Jordan, two Indonesian Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft conducted an airdrop of aid supplies over Gaza. The mission was completed without major challenges, delivering crucial items such as staple foods, ready-to-eat meals, medical equipment, blankets, and supplies for children. President Prabowo Subianto personally authorized the mission, underscoring Indonesia’s dedication to global humanitarian assistance.

The successful execution of this mission on Indonesia’s Independence Day was a moment of national pride, affirming the country’s active participation in international affairs and commitment to global peace. Colonel Puguh Yulianto, Commander of the Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force, described this accomplishment as a historic milestone and a special Independence Day gift for Indonesia.
