Jakarta — The Chairman of the Gerindra Party and the president-elect for the 2024-2029 period, Prabowo Subianto, was present at the 65th birthday celebration of Siti Hediati Hariyadi, also known as Titiek Soeharto. The event took place at her residence on Jl. Teuku Umar, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Sunday evening (14/4).
Prabowo arrived at 8:00 PM WIB, wearing a long-sleeved batik shirt with brown and black motifs.
His arrival was greeted warmly by his only child, Ragowo Hediprasetyo or Didit, and the General Secretary of the Gerindra Party and Vice Chairman of the MPR RI, Ahmad Muzani.
The celebration was simple, starting with a tumpeng cutting ceremony. Titiek expressed her gratitude to her family and close friends who attended in her speech.
“Thank you for joining me tonight to celebrate my 65th birthday. I pray for a long life and hope to continue serving the community,” Titiek expressed her thanks to the guests.
During the tumpeng cutting, Titiek initially wanted to offer the first slice to Prabowo, but he suggested giving it to her sister, Siti Hardijanti Rukmana or Tutut Soeharto, first.
Titiek then gave the second slice to Prabowo and they exchanged handshakes and cheek-kisses.
“Congratulations, Mbak Titiek. Your efforts in Yogyakarta brought in high votes, and thank you all,” Prabowo appreciated.
Prabowo also shared moments from the celebration on his Instagram page @prabowo.
“May God always protect you, and bless your service to the Nation and State. Happy birthday @titieksoeharto,” he wrote.
The event ended with a touching moment as Prabowo took a photo with Titiek and Didit.
During the evening, Prabowo also mingled with many guests, including the Deputy General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, the Chair of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team Roesan P Roeslani, former Head of the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) AM Hendropriyono, and celebrities like Maia Estianty and Deddy Corbuzier.
