Prabowo Subianto, Indonesian Minister of Defense and President-elect for the term 2024-2029, celebrated Eid al-Adha 1445 H at the Nurul Wathan Mosque in Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, Hambalang, Bogor, West Java. He arrived dressed in a white koko shirt and black peci, greeted the residents, and then joined the prayer. Afterward, he interacted with the locals, exchanged greetings, and took photos with enthusiastic residents, including women and children.
During this Eid al-Adha, Prabowo emphasized the importance of sacrifice and sharing meat with those in need, following the examples of Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail. He personally sacrificed 145 cows, distributing them to various regions, including ulama, habaib, Islamic mass organizations, Islamic boarding schools, and Mosque Prosperity Councils. In Hambalang, 38 cows were distributed to the local community, while at the Gerindra Party headquarters, 20 cows and 5 goats were sacrificed and shared.
