Thomas Djiwandono, a Financial Sector Member of the Prabowo-Gibran Government Transition Task Force, has confirmed that he and Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, along with their team, have been collaborating closely for the past two months. This collaboration was highlighted during a press conference on the Fundamental Economic Conditions and the 2025 State Budget on Monday, June 24, 2024.
During the press conference, Thomas mentioned that he and the economic team have been working closely with the Ministry of Finance, including the Minister, Deputy Ministers, Directors General, and others. He emphasized that this collaboration has been a natural and synchronized process.
Furthermore, Thomas stated that there was a recent meeting between President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), President-elect Prabowo Subianto, and other officials. He emphasized that there is no gap between President Jokowi and President-elect Prabowo.
Economic Coordinating Minister Airlangga also confirmed that a meeting had taken place with both presidents and other officials, where they agreed on the main outlines of the 2025 State Budget. They discussed economic conditions and budget allocations, including the Rp 71 trillion budget for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.
