Jakarta — Indonesia’s Minister of Defense and President-elect for the 2024-2029 term, Prabowo Subianto, had a meeting with President Joko Widodo to provide an update on his week-long working visit to Europe.
Prabowo arrived at the State Palace at 3:00 PM WIB on Friday, August 2, wearing a brown safari suit, a black cap, and sunglasses. He greeted the media upon his arrival.
During his meeting with the President, Prabowo shared details of his recent working visit to Paris, Serbia, Turkey, and Russia.
He mentioned, “I just got back yesterday afternoon, so today I met with the President to give a report on my visit. Besides meeting with President Macron after the Olympics opening, I also had discussions with leaders of other countries.”
Between July 24 and 31, 2024, Prabowo visited four countries and held meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Yes, I visited Russia, Turkey, Serbia, and Albania. I am here today just to give a report,” Prabowo explained.
