Hambalang — President-elect Prabowo Subianto encouraged Gerindra Party members who were elected to the House of Representatives (DPR) to stay loyal to the people and the Indonesian nation. This message was conveyed during a briefing to party members at the Garuda Yaksa Hall in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Monday (September 23).
“Thank you, my comrades, as the fighters at the forefront. I appreciate your loyalty. Remember, serving and working for our people is the correct path. We stand tall, our loyalty is to the people, to our nation,” Prabowo said.
He emphasized that this loyalty should be directed towards the people, not towards him personally. He emphasized that if he ever deviates from the right path, they should feel free to part ways with him.
“I urge you not to be loyal to me as an individual. As long as I fight for what is right, I seek your support. However, if you feel that I am no longer on the right path, you have my permission to distance yourselves from me,” Prabowo stated.
He also reiterated his unwavering commitment to defend the people, especially the underprivileged, and uphold the honor of the Indonesian nation.
“My pledge remains firm: I am willing to die for the truth. I am prepared to die in defense of my people, in defense of the poor, in defense of the honor of the Indonesian nation, and I have no doubts about that,” Prabowo concluded. (RR)
