President’s Commitment to Youth: Free Health Checks by Minister Dito

Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo recently visited SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta in Rawamangun, East Jakarta to observe the implementation of the Free Health Check in Schools (CKG Sekolah) program. This initiative, part of a nationwide launch in 12 schools, madrasahs, and pesantrens across Indonesia, demonstrates President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to the youth’s well-being. Minister Dito highlighted the program’s alignment with the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ vision to enhance the physical fitness of Indonesians under the Asta Cita development framework. The collected data from CKG will inform policies promoting healthy lifestyles among students, aiming to nurture a physically and mentally strong generation. The program includes health screenings for students, covering various aspects such as height, weight, blood pressure, nutrition, dental and eye health, and mental well-being. During the visit, Minister Dito was accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Health and athletes like Veddriq Leonardo and Desak Made Rita Kusuma, emphasizing the importance of early detection of health issues for prompt intervention. The CKG Sekolah launch in multiple educational institutions nationwide signifies the government’s dedication to a reformed healthcare system focusing on preventive care for the entire Indonesian population, especially students. Since its rollout in February 2025, the program has benefited over 16 million Indonesians and is a crucial step towards achieving Golden Indonesia 2045’s vision of equal healthcare access for all.
