President Prabowo Subianto has appointed General Tandyo Budi as the Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and inaugurated new commanders for Kodam, brigade, and Territorial Development Battalions. Prabowo highlighted the importance of leaders leading from the front, being the first line of protection for their soldiers in dangerous situations. He emphasized the need for military leaders to care for and train their troops as their own children. Prabowo reiterated the TNI’s identity as the people’s army, born from and dedicated to serving the people. It is a reminder of their mission to defend and, if necessary, sacrifice for the people.
