Bogor — A father of a graduate from the “Ben Mboi” Polytechnic of the Defense University (Unhan RI) in Belu, East Nusa Tenggara, expressed his gratitude towards Indonesia’s Defense Minister, Prabowo Subianto, for covering the cost of his trip to Jakarta to attend his daughter’s graduation on Saturday, August 24.
During their interaction, Prabowo asked Yohanes, the father of graduate Rosalia Virginia Linda, if the graduate was his daughter or son.
Prabowo took the time to personally greet and shake hands with the parents of the graduates after the ceremony.
Yohanes expressed his appreciation for the free education provided at Unhan RI, a program initiated by Prabowo.
“I want to thank Mr. Prabowo for establishing the education program at Unhan and for sponsoring our trip to Jakarta for our child’s graduation. Thank you once again to Mr. Prabowo. Long live our nation’s defense,” Yohanes said.
Unhan held a graduation ceremony for 425 students today. The university offers 12 undergraduate (S1) programs and 7 diploma (D3) programs, focusing on developing competencies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). (RR)
