Prabowo Subianto Says Goodbye and Apologizes in Last DPR Session: Bigger Responsibilities Are Coming

Jakarta – Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto said his goodbyes to the leadership and members of Commission I of the House of Representatives (DPR) during a meeting at the DPR building in Jakarta on Wednesday (September 25).

“I seek forgiveness if, during my five years as defense minister, I have done anything that may have let you down,” Prabowo stated.

He stressed that all his actions as defense minister were aimed at protecting the interests and sovereignty of Indonesia.

Prabowo also expressed gratitude for the dedication of the Commission I leadership and members, and hoped for ongoing collaboration in nation-building.

“With that, I bid you farewell. The entire Ministry of Defense extends our congratulations and appreciation for your service, and I look forward to continuing our partnership for the nation and the state,” he added.

Prabowo believes that the strong cooperation between the government and the legislature lays a solid foundation for confronting future challenges, with the main aim being the safety and well-being of the Indonesian people.

“We have greater responsibilities ahead of us. Thank you, may God bless your service. And may Indonesia remain resilient and prosperous,” Prabowo concluded. (RR)
